I asked alan photo SLS in the afternoon and was quoted $1780! Which I felt was not bad already.

Getting more tempting by the day. The good ISO performance against D300 is really something to consider.

I tried the D90 today (have some sample shots if anyone wants I can post), the ISO performance is good, though I was hoping for a little bit more DR at ISO2000 (though that's being a little greedy I guess ) and a slightly higher eyepoint (I'm wearing glasses)

I think it should sell pretty well, though I'm still mulling over whether to get it as it (for reality and budget's sake) still isn't a huge leap as I'd like over my current DSLR for the shots that I tend to take.

Price should be for kit. this is street price, as compared to the RRP.
