Default Marco lens, please help!

I intend to get a marco len for Nikon body. I'm looking at Sigma 105mm Marco EX then my friend suggested it's better to get Tamron 90mm Marco.

Both lens are around 580-600++. Anyone care to share their views on both lens. I know Nikkor 105mm Mirco is the best for Nikon body.

If u are only doing occasional macros, getting a 500D or 5/6T to reach 1:1 with your 70-300 may be more practical and cheaper. I have the 105mm sigma and i like the build and the zen texture. The tamron is supposedly better for potraiture due to the way it renders bokeh. I opted for the extra reach.

I would suggest taking a look at photosig of samples taken by users of both lenses if u cant get a sample to test with.
