Possible to get a decent compact cam below $260 ?

You can get lower end old models or get it from buy and sell.

eh cant get from 2nd hand .. helping my cousin ask actually as her frens r getting for her bdae present .. however their budget should be ard 260 only .. Ortega .. R u serious ?

yes check out last saturday ST ad
but i think it is a display item so maybe only have 1 piece

the papers have ads every weekend
for Gain City, check their clearance sale listing

my company does their ads, so i can only report what has already been published
some amazing deals can be found

I'm on the lookout for a replacement compact camera myself. Funnily, they just don't last very long for me. I've had two in the last 2 years, and both died within 12-18 months, with about 2000-2500 shots taken on each. Neither were abused too. That's why I'm a little reluctant to buy one from B&S; no clue when they'll die too.

Fuji has some at $299 and Kodak, Sssssssamsung have cams at $199.
