I'm looking for a light boom that I can attach to a lightstand. I've checked out some online shops where they sell both the stand and boom, but I don't need the stand. Does anyone know if I can get these separately?

make sure to get a counter weight as well, and check if your lightstand able to take it. else also no point...

besides the counterweight, you should also weigh down the legs of your lightstand.

if you are using the boom arm for mono block, you need at least a manfrotto master stand or bigger, else the stand will sure give way halfway.
you can using a any 5lt plastic container filled with some water, tide to the end boom arm as counterweight. |
