Hmmm Lewis Hamilton, Piquet, followed by Kovalainen in practice 2. Session 1 was more of track cleaning in progress as the track is green and dusty.

Initial analysis looks like Mclarens are still faster.

Btw anyone noticed that mclaren were already faster than ferrari back in france? So no coincidence that they did well from Silverstone, Hockenheim.

yeah... the overtaking maneuver on the 2 McLarens at the start is just simply

however, it's a pity the engine rob him of a win. such a shame... what a luck.

and i thought Hammy actually wanted to go to the greens...

oh yeah... congrats to Heikki. it's better him winning than stupid Hammy... no offense to the Hammy supporters here.

and not forgetting Timo for his wonderful 2nd position. he drove brilliantly and kept his composure towards the end of the race while getting pressured from Kimi.

Wah lao ultimate sianess. Only 3 more laps after all the excellent hardwork done. Massa must be feeling really down. Kimi is a weird guy. Seems like he lost his will to race, only woke up during the last 1/4 of the race.

Kimi will always be an enigma and the ultimate iceman. I recall in his post race interview of him saying he didn't care whether he won or lost in this race. His total coolness is both his strongest asset as well as his Achilles Heal. But that's Kimi, love him or hate him. I for one continue to be a strong supporter purely for his coolness and sportsmanship. A two thumbs up to Heikki as he drove past has to bring smiles to even the most hardcore of McLaren supporters

Actually Massa's plight wasn't that much different from Hamilton's. Surely it was heartwrenching to say the least for Massa to be robbed a victory in such a way. But driving a real Formula One car (as opposed to on PlayStation3 with device failure mode disabled) is much more than simply going flat out. It entails listening to the car and adapting the driving accordingly. Sure, easier said than done but that's what makes a champion a champion.

Hamster was an idiot to end his chances that way, pure and simple. First, he should have never taken for granted that poor little Massa would never have the balls to overtake him. Well, he did... both of them in fact. And second, knowing how abrasive the circuit was to the tires and how McLaren cars tend to chew away the tires, it was quite obvious an aggressive driving style is only asking for trouble.

Huge, huge kudos to Timo Glock. The dude held it together, and took full advantage of the circuit which seemed to be tailor-made for the tire-babying Toyotas.

All in all, this has been a great race. A race of luck, a race of being there when the "luck" strikes, and a race of those who have the mental strength of champions. CONGRATS TO HEIKKI, TIMO, AND KIMI!!!!!

I thought that F. Massa really blew everyone away! What a start! Perfect execution. Kept behind L. Hamilton to get a slip-stream tow, went to the left prior to Turn 1, turned into Turn 1 while keep Lewis at bay, accelerated out of T1 and into T2. Perfect.

Yup, I guess that Felipe would be devastated. But that is racing.

But what is weird is the fire incidents related to the re-fuelling rigs. What happened?

Hahhahahhaaa. NO lah. I think Ferrari have the speed, just that they need to get their settings and strategy right.

But then, reliability gremlin will crop up from time to time, as what happened to F. Massa.

Luckily there is a 3-week break now. So the rig incidents will have more time to be investigated / improved.
