    very exciting - was the first reason why I wanted to go to the North Pole this year.....to see solar eclipse....and then hope the aurora borealis would appear soon after

    We should be able to see the eclipse of Jan 26 2009, don't worry.

    Photogs, bring your gears along to work tommorow. Just check using simulation software, Stellarium, the partial eclipse starts around 5.50pm local time.

    It won't be as spectacular as in China, only "graze" the edge of the sun at bottom right side until the sun sets over the horizon.

    Hoping for another cloudless sky tommorrow.

    yes between 5.50pm-6.07pm be prepared!
    or watch live telecast on internet.
    think i leave my work slightly early to get back home soon..

    hmm i know we can't really witness it in SG. but if things were to change suddenly, where would be the best place? Place of usual sunsets is it?
