first, the food looks absolutely fantastic
now, i would set a bit a warmer WB and it appears that a lot of light is coming in frontal (no 3 for example) taking away the depth, i would place the light source more to the side

The greens look off, could be a white balance issue.
The background on some shots are somewhat distracting and I'm not sure the flash helps, just too direct and flat imo.

Food looks fantasic but somehow my lighting is a bit flat. I'm using an overhead difussed flash, any thoughts about this, or any other solutions to combat this 'flat' lighting problem?

Any solutions to this 'flat lighting' situation, especially #3? I'm actually shooting these on my holiday trip, so pls don't tell me to bring a studio of equipments!

Off camera flash would help to give the food a bit of modelling. The idea to not to have the lighting on the same axis as the camera lens.
