No international warranty, not worth the risk, imho.
But it you want it, the one place to check is this place call Man Shing and Wing Shing, both at Mongkok area. Same shop, same boss, very reliable pricing. Last edited by diediealsomustdive; 26th July 2008 at 10:52 PM. Reason: grammar |

690 is a damn gd price.
most of the d40 users here paid much more than 690. better to buy local set instead. |

Yo man,
I got a D40 kit (grey set) 2 months ago with 2 gig SD and tamrac bag for 700SGD at Orient Photo, SLS 6th floor. No Nikon Warranty, but shopowner assures me that i can bring back to the shop if any problems. It was the second last D40 they had though, not sure if there's any left. My take - shop warranty beats going back to hong kong for warranty, but nikon warranty beats all (but i was on a budget so too bad) ![]()

I usually go to this shop Man Shing / Wing Shing at Mongkok: http://www.wingshingphoto.com/ 3 outlets, if one is out of stock can check if other store has stock, nearby.
Wing Shing Photo Supplies G/F, 55-57 Sai Yeung Choi St., Mongkok Kowloon, HK Wing Shing Photo Supplies G/F, 91-95 Fa Yuen Street, Mongkok, Kowloon, H.K. Man Shing Photo Supplies Address G/F, 106 Tung Choi St., Mongkok, Kowloon H.K. Recommended practice is listed here: http://www.tvxb.com/billd/HK/HK%20shopping-cameras.html. Man Shing and Wing Shing both with photos on this page. There is a price guide here: http://www.ygdragon.net/index.php?pa...ameraprice.htm (This is often the cheapest price a local can get, so pay a bit more is ok). |
