Question Olympus C750UZ Zoom

Hi There,

This is my first entry into this forum.

I have been weighing up a few different camera to buy, but after reading the review on the Olympus C750UZ on this website, the 10 x optical zoom sold me on the fact. The ability to zoom 300 metres seemed awesome.

I purchased the camera yesterday, and was playing around with it last night, and the zoom would extend to a range of approx 3 metres, not 300 metres.

Is there something that I am doing wrong???

I would like to be able to maximise the zoom for my children;s sporting events.

Any, and all, help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Jase

click here to see C-750 specification

at Tele , focusing distance is from 2m - Infinity , tt mean when u set ur camera to tele mode ( like 6x to 10x zoom ) , you can allow to focus object tt is from 2m to nowhere .The focal length at full zoom is 380mm ... which allow u to take closer shot of object at far distance like 200mm away.

Yes u can take ur children shots at far distance

To set focal length , adjust "zoom control lever"

To focus , press 1/2 shutter button

I guess you need to read up the camera manual. It explains very detail on how to do all these features

Thanks mate,

I will need to read the manual.

But I have tried what you mentioned above, and I am not getting great distances. Could the camera be faulty?
