Hi guys, my SB-800 is damaged due to battery leak. Im using GP 2700.
Suspected reason: 1) i dropped my GP batt before 2) i shoot in the rain and my SB-800 maybe accidently kenna water, but is not very likely, because i use an umbrella that day. Anyone knows what might be the problem? i am bringing my SB-800 next week to NSC. Hope warrenty covers my issue. ![]()

bro, dd you store the flash when it leaked and was the batteries charged or discharged? From previous experience, rechargeables tends to leak when damaged so dropping them is not good. If you see your batteries having a flat edge due to a drop, downgrade them to non-critical use, i.e. not in photography
. The second thing is that, I think GPs are overall poor in quality, i have given up on them after their 9V rechargeables failed, their AA and AAA also did not last anywhere near 200 charges. But thats just me. As for warranty, highly unlikely that NSC will cover for you as it is really "abuse" to them.. sad case. |
