Default Nikon 80-200mm AF ED F2.8, one touch(push/pull against two touch

Hi all,
I'm contemplating getting one of the above mentioned lens (used), Please advice which is a better lens where sharpness and colour is concerned. Thank you in advance.

To me ,
I like the quick action of push/pull type over the 2 touch type.Especially when u r taking sport shoot.
regards to sharpness n colour , let see what others has to say....

I upgraded from push/pull to 2 touch because I need that tripod mount.
Do consider that too when u r deciding which one.

your call

if image quality wise, the one touch is the best. but for the tripod mount and ease of zooming, the two touch is better.
the one touch version handles shooting into the light very well thought. exhibits practically no flare!

the tripod collar is something of concern. Both glass are just as good. I would go for the two-touch knowing its newer.

used the one-touch and found the barrel loosen quite a bit after a while. even when mounted on a tripod shooting downwards, the zoom can change by itself which made me sell and get the two-touch version.

the one-touch takes a very heavy toil on your camera body mount as there is no tripod collar. the two-touch with built-in collar evens up the weight when mounted on the tripod. wished they made this one removable like the 70-200VR for handheld shots.

I posted this qn some time ago. It seems the 2 touch focuses faster than the 1 touch.
