Default D700 Thread

I did not post up the photos as it might be a mess when the thread gets longer.
All the photos are cropped out of cam. With no PP done.

My Personal Review

What I Like
  • AF-S is fast and accurate. AF-C is also fast and accurate.
  • Everything feels very much like the D300 Except that its FX
  • VF is bright and clear
  • New In Camera Leveller <----- i forgot its name
  • Battery Grip is the same as D300
  • Price is good at $4499

Maybe Not
  • Vignetting or light drop off when using existing lens other than longer primes and the latest series of lenses.

I'll add more comments later on. Damn hungry now.

When the AF-S are introduced...they started with the 60mm micro...i'm sure in the 4th Qt...there will be some really expensive AF-S primes.

For the pple who like the zoom lens can start shopping from this monday onwards

Even if they have the prime lenses which you desire, will you be using Nikon? Afterall I heard all your equipment are offered on "loaned" by Canon to you, zero cost at your end hehehehe

This is a very good cam, handles the highlights and shadow well even when over or under, reminds me of the good old film days
