Oly 5050z Flash Problems

Seems like I can't use the flash in the Shutter priority mode, and the Fully manual mode ?
Bug Or Feature ?

Is there anything that can be done about it, like overriding the settings ? i don't see anything in the manual about it.

Correct me if I am wrong, if I don't remember wrong, below a certain shutter speed, the flash might not work. Try a lower shutter speed, like 1/50?

From what i culled from DP forums. they said that the flash will only work either rear sync or front curtain.
