Aiyoh!!!
Lens buying addiction will definitely rear its head again...

There's also some images from the DA 17-70mm floating around...

I think the picture has nothing spectacular... to activitate LBA....

I would prefered the to name quality of FA 50MM 1.4 as being labeled a real LBA len...

The DA 14MM F2.8 is dam good .compareed to.. if the current Star len is like that...so.so...

No insults, but frank thoughts.

Just say like a pure Pentaxian... many alternative to good photography..

Say your thoughts...

Well, everyone has a lens they are waiting for. Many of us are waiting for the 60-250mm.

sorry, I didn't get what you meant

DA*1650 might have some bad copies, but mostly is on K10D camera. DA*50135 has been pretty good on all cameras. And DA*1650 works very well on K20D and K200D too. I've also seen many praises about the DA*200 and DA*300 as well, wonder why you are not happy w/ current star lenses

I expected the current star len to out performed old FA like the FA-80-200MM F2.8..or equal
I look at the colour renderation..straight out form the cam ...and the mood it gaves ..

before I decided to buy my first Digital SLR ... It was some of those FA stars and Super takurma that make me excited about Pentax ...the current star do not activitate the kind of thrill I had when I first saw those FA star output... ( I was from Canon film) and what made me jump into Pentax is the bonus of in body shake reduction...

I still believe that no post -pocessing can over take the raw beauty of Pentax FA stars...
it was and have been so original... that what I think made Pentax different from the crowd..

I also do not understand, why if you find me hard to undertand... when I say something about my honest thought ... everyone has definitely a different views a different approach the photography even we all use Pentax.. (nothing good or bad .. photography is about the photograher eye) Yeah my pic may be lousy and don't like by some people: I believe that Pentax designed SLR for people who want to take picture ... and are humble people..who give real comments and Pentax give me the impression it attends to the needs of photographers..than any other ....B.... and Pentax cam are technically honest and easy to use.

I am not so smart to know, if they had been a bad copy or not..neither am I that tactful, with I want to say..

I have friend.. from Ni.. and c... who made comment about things they think is not good enough, don't like about their cam, whether it len or features.., why can't P.....?

Nothing good or bad thinking made it so.

Everyone has something that they look forward to...( I could be very wong about what I think about the len) ...until I really own one ...I am only assuming from those pics ..

I am using K100D only lOh ... but always like to be involve in Pentax community...talks .. bite my own touge until it became swallon. Face also become thicker loh,,,

No hard feelings. I like FA star lenses too. But there is no way Pentax is going back to the old era. It's the DA lenses that we have to live with from now on

But if it's something you haven't used personally, better don't bash it lah
