Hello ....
Could you please recommend what upgrade kit is suitable for my Fz18? eg. the different type of filters and lens And how much will those set me back? Thanks !!!!!! |

there is no such thing as kit, the only "kit" i know of for prosumer is the whole box of accessories including the cable and CD that came together in the box u got ur fz18... u get what u need/want.

how about those telescoping lens add on for the camera?
saw it on the leaflet in the content box that there are such lenses for sale. |

my advise is dont go for equipment add on for compacts.
when you want to sell the cam, you gonna have some problems clearing of the extra stuff. |

i bought a third party adapter for the FZ18 at alan foto which step up the ring to 52mm and got myself a Hoya +4 close-up lens.
But there is some problem. I always get blurry pics lei. haiZ. anybody can help with my noobiness? XP. I used flash also no use.

how blur is blur? +4 will give u blurry rims, and u'll generally see shedloads of CA fringing... also u can try aperture f8 and see how that goes.

Upgrade kits? Filters, adaptors, telecon, wide con, macro close up lens? check to see any known compatibility issue with the close up lens. Hand shake, IS not on, moving subjection (in motion or blown by the wind), subject not in focus etc all can cause blurred or softer image results. Check user manual for settings to make with addon macro lens, cam spec minimum focusing distance etc. |
