Here are some of shots from a very short trip to Pasir Ris Park yesterday. Shot using a D100, 500mm catadioptric lens (f8 mirror lens).
All shots are straight from the camera, as my laptop has been sent for repair, so unable to photoshop/do any post-processing to it.... Comments appreciated.... #1 - #2 - #3 - #4 - |

Pretty good results from a mirror lens i must say.
My guesses for the birds: 1. Yellow-vented bulbul 2. Common Iora 3. Black-naped oriole 4. Little heron cheers |

thanks dude.. i thought #2 & #3 were the same species, cos they seemed to be playing with each other, and i thought they were just the male+female....

The black naped oriole is a juvenile. Theres 1 loitering outside house these few weeks

2 is a juvenile black-naped oriole, not common iora. They are confusing when you just look at the photo. But out in the field, the size and call makes identification much easier.
