Hi there,
Just need recommendations. I've a Canon 40D and a Sigma 18-125mm walkabout lens at the moment of which, the Sigma has served me very well. Now, I'm thinking of getting a lens that allows me to take sharp photos of cars or parts of cars, amongst others. Usually close up shots, etc. Can anyone suggest a lens for that purpose? I'm actually leaning towards a 50mm F/1.4 but I am open to suggestions/recommendations. Thank you and best regards, Sam |

Thanks for the suggestions.
I'm just wondering what other lens there are that are similar to the Canon 50mm F/1.4 and also in that price range? Doesn't matter if they are Sigma/Tamron/etc but along that budget and performance. Toying with the idea of getting a 2nd hand Canon 50mm F/1.4, if it ever comes up! ![]() Cheers! |

Forgot to ask if the 50mm F/1.8 would be a better deal, if I couldn't be bothered with the plasticky feel?
