a new D200 with warranty on current promo is $1550 with 18-55 kit lens. the lens is not fantastic but good enough for snaps. most shops don't carry the promo but can order for you because the D200 is considered out of production so the offer is good while stocks last.

the two lens mentioned in the sales sounds like older range FF lenses. the SB26 flash doesn't work on TTL with the D200. it only works in auto and manual modes. as for the 8GB card and bag, it's up to you.

Let me give you something to think about which may work out better for you...

The following are 2nd hand prices (rough gauge):
1. D200 - $1200 (some with grip)
2. Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 - $550
3. SB600 - $300
4. 4GB Kingston 133x CF (New) - $50
5. Lowepro Bag (for this gear) - $50
Total = $2150

And you can also by a dry cabinet and tripod If you want a longer zoom on budget, you can try the Nikon 55-200 VR @ $300.

new 55-200VR should be around $360

$1550 for D200 with 18-55 kit lens
$360 for 55-200VR
$350 for SB600
$2260 total so far
