Price Drop For Sony Alpha 700! ($400 reduction!)
Hey folks,
Just got news that the Sony Alpha 700 is now at $1799, including GST!  Good time to grab one if you have been waiting, and since this is a $400 reduction and close to comparable to most overseas prices, it would not be economical to get it from overseas now. JW |

no matter how cheap or even if the body is free, think twice or thrice or quadruple before u get it...
think again abt the prices of the lenses and accessories that u definitely are going to buy in the future. think harder. think hardest.

true sony stuff/accessories not cheap....we do source them from oversea from time to time..so they are as cheap or even cheaper than yr system... plus we get intl warranty for the bodies...this can't be said for the other ... which current fx wide angle lens ur system had currently got the vr technology? beside the dx 17-55 and fx 24-105 [120]vr.... the holy trinity std zoom 24-70 or isszit the 28-70 and the 17-35 none of them is vr enable and is already heavy and bulky...i would like to see how it look like when it finally had vr incorporated in them and those lenses are more exp in 2nd hand as compare to the 1st hand cz 24-70mm f2.8 and less sharp too...so u go figure..who had an edge eventually...think carefully

honestly when I think harder and hardest, I still think Sony is a pretty good choice. Yeah, their top pro lenses is more expensive than its competitor brands (eg. 70-200mm f/2.8), but I'm not a pro and these top end models don't interest me.
Paying a little bit for the lower-mid class lenses to get anti-shake on all lenses is just so attractive, especially on my favourite primes lenses of 28mm and 50mm. Of course, i just keep wondering to myself why is it that Sony can't sell their lenses cheaper since they don't have to incorporate the IS or VR or SSS into each and every lens, puzzles me!
