C/Y lens on Canon

Anyone has any experience with mounting Carl Zeiss lenses on canon body? thinking of getting a Carl Zeiss 35 f/2.4 with adapter for AF confirmation. Is there anything i should be careful of??

As far as i know, there isn't contax 35/2.4, only 2.8 and 1.4 version.
The one u are talking about might be Carl Zeiss Jena 35/2.4 M42 mount. It is also one of the best M42 mount lens. Nice color, sharpness, and close focus capability.
BTW, most of C/Y lens also work well with Canon body. U can search for a compatibility list online (some version has problem with 5D due to big mirror).

I got a 35 2.4 recently, but when i mount the lens with adapter and click the shutter button, it says error 01... what does this mean

Am using 20D with adapter for the lens onto my body. it works on my friend's 400D and 30D but not on someone else's 20D.. is the something about 20D that gives rise to this problem? would getting another adapter help?
