![]() The difference between involvement and commitment is like ham and eggs - The chicken was involved, but the pig was committed. - Martina Navratilova But perhaps the chicken was not so lucky in China. Or maybe there is no such difference. |

besides, which part of china is that? cos the clothes behind and the attire of the old lady dun look chinese. and instead of having a single thread for a specific title for a single picture, it is better to have a thread of either a series of photos from a similar theme and same processing, or have a thread on a location. |

Dali, Yunnan, China.
Was thinking of doing a series but couldn't find pictures of a similar theme. And put other pictures from the same location but different theme might not complement the picture. ![]() |

it isn't easy to make a series on a theme in the first place and moi didn't even make an attempt on that becos i know it is tough and only test the determinated and diligent people, not me. the best plot is to make up a thread of a location to show the myriad aspects that shows the life, the mood, the culture and the history of that place, often easiest. if you want, you can also make a travellogue in a chronological order provided that if you put similar shots of the same venue, you may want to practise some consistence in color balance and processing. by the way, your avatar looks familiar. did i see u at the photoaid for cyclone nargis? |

Thanks for the advice, Zoosch! Definitely appreciated and understand where u're coming from. Frankly this shot was a "by-chance" shot, so yes, the theme was kinda forced.
Anyway, check out The Cormorant Fishing. Tried to do a series thingy there. Comments definitely welcomed. Nope, prob mistaken me for someone else, was not at the photoaid. |
