Hi,
Understand that Canon Lens with international warranty are valid here in SG. And there are many ppl doing MO for such lens, and issue receipts for them. Saving is quite substantial compared to getting from local store. I have nothing against brothers conducting such MO, I'm tempted to get from them but would like some clarification. For bro who got lens from MO, what kind of receipt is issued? Is the receipt valid? any reasons why I should get from the local shops instead? Thanks. |

most of the MOs done in the MO section are from HK.
These lens are mass ordered from camera shops in HK, and therefore carries the offical receipt of these shops in HK. Which will be valid for warranty claim together with the warranty card that has matching serial number, in Singapore. The only reason that u would wan to get from local shop and spend the extra $100-$300 (Depending on lens) more, is to have that extra 3 months warranty when registering online, as well as the 1-1 exchange with the shop if u find any defects. But i'm sure most MO-ers do check the lens they bring in before they arrange for collection. Hope this helps. |
