okay so the title is uber random. But hey, the planks that support the structure is surprisingly thin you can force yourself to believe they the walkboard will collapse anytime. HOHO. So yesh im megaslow in exploring the Henderson Waves but here's my take on it. The view frankly is not that breathtaking, the architecture and design is the forte here. Only manage to take several okay shots. hehe Camera: Canon Powershot S5 IS ![]() Time: 6pm onwards 01- lines of innocence ![]() 02-missing photo 03-you're stepping on my shadow ![]() 03-running from myself ![]() Last edited by velasco; 7th July 2008 at 07:36 PM. |

i find the photos too cluttered, the clutter is not exactly your fault, but it is also in a way since you are the one to choose to click the shutter.. too many people. sometimes, just wait, and wait until it is the right time to shoot. understand that not everyone has time to wait around, but 5 seconds difference can make a world of change. especially in shots like 2 and 3. at times like these, find a spot, formulate an idea which will be interesting, and just wait. maybe you will not get your idea, but you can reap something else. many of the shots here have potential - but only when given a correct arrangement of people seeing how they are a major element in your picture, but the people are not particularly interesting, they are just haphazard and random to me.
the framing of the closeup abstracts are nice though, #7 and #9 are my picks here. Last edited by night86mare; 7th July 2008 at 09:53 PM. |

I agree with night86mare.
Most of the photos with people in them just look TOO cluttered. #14 for example.... WOAH! WAY too many people! |

alrighty will note. i didnt really go them to chilll and plan that day. it was more of a rush rush since we had to catch sunset at labrador which terrily fails as the dark clouds beat us to it. then went to marina golf club to take skyline.i will go to the waves again another time k and try to compose more meticulously. thanks for the input!

I believe it's quite hard to get a sunset pic without people as the Henderson bridge is quite packed nowadays. If there was no carpark at the other end, then maybe.
I would say your "losing light" is the best of the series. |

but here this looks like a half-a-day or less programme based on what is written.. taking your time, and waiting for the right moment/light is integral to getting good pictures. of course, knowing where there is no hope, is also important. ![]() |
