It's been a while since I got back in Chinatown for street shooting. I got used to always shoot on Orchard Road that it was a refreshing change of atmosphere for me.

I used an ultra-wide angle lens (UWA), particularly the Sigma 10-20mm. When taking street candids, try to be quick... click and move, so the subject will not have the chance to complain or confront you. I've taken so many street shots, and i've only been asked once.

Great shots!

About the low shot, how did you do it?

Don't do that stunt if there is lady wearing skirts walking past hor , otherwise...sigh.

The lady asked me in a very snobbish way "excuse me, may I know what that's for?"... I just said, "Oh I'm sorry, I'm just street shooting." I was about to offer if she wanted me to delete the shot, but she just hurriedly said "ok" then went off... I don't think she was really interested with the answer

I was half-kneeling on the ground, and placed my camera on the ground slightly facing up, estimating the composition. And yes, everytime a lady wearing skirts walk past, I always immediately remove the camera from the ground

Well I've been shooting strangers every weekend for about 6 months now, and i find that people just disregard you if you do it quickly then walk away ... don't give them the chance to react Lately, I've even been taking shots of crowds up close. The worst reaction i got was a frown.
