Flash unit for 400D

other than canon flash units, can i use other brands? if there is,recommendations? would it be cheaper?

Sigma flashes, but I still prefer to go Canon flash for the full compatibility

yea they are not bad. Take note that 430Ex II is coming out soon. U might wanna wait.

If got the moolah chiong for 580 Ex II you wont regret it, the extra power is a very good thing.

430EX II? will the price stay arnd the same as 430EX? or near enough to go for 580EX II?

How how the Sigma 500 flash ? is it compatible with the canon camera like the 400d the threadstarter has ?

TS..... go for a 580EX MkII

Most Greyset sell for $630 around ClubSNAP. You can't go wrong with the extra power. Better more power that you might not use..... then too little power when you need it. Also, top end model have much better resale price.

Go Orient Photo @ Simlim Square 6th floor.. brand new @ SG$630.. but currently they are out of stock now.. i just went there yesterday.. stuff at there are quite cheap..
