I used to have the problem with my 300D. Go mount a tripod and take a wall shot(flat plain wall). If it works, might be ur hand or focus problem. Else go clean your lens and sensor again. Then do the test again.
My problem last time is that I auto-focus on something, but it is unable to shoot (I have to switch to MF and shoot). Hope it helps ![]() |

you wanna test the lens on a different body? my colleague and i encountered this problem before... kena error 99... very irritating... it happened first for me on the 40D, then tested on 30D and got the same thing... in the end it somehow just solved itself... we decided not to use the lens for a few days and then suddenly when we tested it was working fine again...

if u try on other lenses n u get same problem, try cleaning the lens-body contacts.. err99 is basically the camera telling u "i dun really noe wat's wrong, but it could be the connection" Though, be prepared lah..my 30d shutter failed..went to change for ard 200 dollars
