Great set. I think it will turn out a lot stronger if you filter out the disappointed faces.

Just wondering what range do you use when doing hip shoots?

Exactly that's the strong point for me: Showing the disappointed faces emphasizes the meaningless of all these shopping malls. Despite the overflowing shelves with goods from all over the world - people are not happy.
But I have seen people in small villages, having less money per day then a coffee costs in Orchard - they were smiling happily without me pulling out a camera. But that's just my impression and observation. Something to ponder .. and that makes these pictures strong for me.

To each own I guess. I see disappointed faces on the street everyday, and hence am less interested in them.
But I like how you read photographs, reminds me of some of my contacts.

Like every true street photographers do. I am still on the mentality to only take shots through the viewfinder, can learn to pick up some pointers from you and grandmama. Props

I think you'll benefit with something wider though, not that the 50mm is a bad range.
