I heard that the 24 would be a Cron, not a Lux and the 18 will be an Elmar. Noctilux may be canned as it was a personal project of the last CEO, so it may not see the light of day.

Just throw a FF sensor into the M8 will make most of us happy.

Think of it this way. It might be a good chance to sort out the cyan drift, and all the purple black issues.
No need to code and I get all the original DOF like on the film M. Not to mention all the sweet Zeiss , Konica and Voigtlanders I get to use without any headache.. Easily done and probably all they need to do is change the top plate and label it as M8-2 or M9 to distinguish it. No major redesign needed. ![]()

all i ask for in the interim is a firmware update where i am able to input the focal length of the lens mounted manually.
so as to not complicate the image processing and to differentiate from actual 6-bit coded lenses, they can not do the vignette adjustments etc on non-coded lenses, but just write the focal length info into the exif data. |

Most likely there will be new lenses (Wider angle), R10 and an upgrade to M8 for sure at PhotoKina
