sailing

i jus took few shots of a small club race ytd..tis is my 1st time take photos out at sea..n the worst thing is i have to drive the boat n manage my cam at the same time..n im new to photography..so please give ur comments n tips here if u hav any=)all are welcomed..thx

hello. just some C&C on the pics.
i think some of the shots were quite well composed.

especially the close up ones. when photographing sporting events, i think it is usuall quite good to get a close up of the facial expression of the competitors. (perhaps a telephoto should have been used to get the more "close up" effect since pics have to be taken a distance away from the power boat) the starting line is always a great place to grab some nice shots of the different sails.

also, more "action" pics could have been taken too. sailling is quite an "active" sport after all. perhaps more close-ups of sailors hiking out going upwind or rounding markers? (:
besides that, there was problem with exposure for some of the pics (mostly overexposure leading to white skies)

photo-editing might solve some of that (:
