Default A call for volunteer photographers

Hi Pentaxians,
Anyone keen to volunteer to be a photographer for Pathlight School/Autism Resource Center's "A Very Special Walk" Carnival on 12th July, Sat?

I've a contact in there, and I have agreed to help out with another volunteer photographer that day. But as I'm worried the 2 of us would be kind of stretched, I ask if I can rope in more volunteers if I can find any, and it's a OK.

We'll just need to shoot the activities, kids and other participants (parents, other volunteers) in action that day. Basically, we have a free hand, though I guess we'll have to nail the opening ceremony stuff on stage.

Details, briefly:
Venue: Pathlight School at Ang Mo Kio
Time: 7.30 or 8am to about 3pm.

That's all I have for now, more details will be given nearer the date.

Am hoping for 1 or 2 more people to help. Note this is entirely voluntary and on own cost; no allowance or payment given.

Anyone on?

PM me if you're keen! Thanks, cheers!

Thank you, all 4 of you big-hearts - including P3ntx - who expressed interest in volunteering. (I've PM the rest too.)

I think it should be more than enough. Do give me a day to check again on the estimated turn-out for carnival and area covered, then I can gauge how many of us are needed.

Oh yes, the coordinator also asked if I'm able to go down on Fri, 11th July, to shoot their setup and preparation activities, which I couldn't. (Am out of leave for rest of the year, no kidding!) If any of you can, do let me know too!

Just to clarify, this is not a bias against users of other brands :P.. I tried Pentax forum first because it's where I'm most familiar with and hang out the most. (And I've actually even met 2 of the forum chaps in here before! Nice people.)

Thanks, cheers!

I live near the sch, AMK Ave 5. I am interested to shoot the preparation process but its going to be my first time for event shots. Perhaps I can follow a "old bird" to play a supporting role?

My contact is 92222595.

Sure thing, NoMoney. I'll slot you in for Friday once I confirm with the coordinator about what personal data we need to submit to the school.

Anyone free to join NoMoney on Friday? Note it should start around 4pm-ish that day, according to my info.

Thanks much!

Dear all,
Update! Check these links for more info on the event:

http://www.autism.org.sg/avsw08/programme.php
http://www.autism.org.sg/avsw08/programme-carnival.php

I'm accepting all those who have offered their services so far, cos it is a BIG event. Maybe 2 or 3 more can join in for a total of 10 volunteers, and we can do shifts too. (I wonder how the originally planned 2 photographers would have coped with an estimated 2000 crowd and 6 hour-long duration, plus a 2.4km walk! :P)

Conditions and restrictions are pretty standard and reasonable:
* NO posting online of any photos you take at the event, especially of the kids there. I'm sure you understand why. (Note the school will approve and release some post=event photos for publicity, but we can't put up anything unless we get approval.)
* Need to have your NRIC, full name, contacts etc. for record purposes and acknowledgements/credits

I'll email the full details of conditions/restrictions to everyone who's keen.

If you haven't given me yours or are keen, do get me at asteriodb17 at gmail.com.

Cheers!

Default Have enough volunteers already, thanks!

Thanks for the good response.

Have enough volunteers, so won't be accepting any more.

Cheers!
