I am thinking of a 20mm or 21mm lens for the S Alpha and M Dynax. I see Sony has 20mm as in here: http://www.sony.com.sg/microsite/dsl...glelens01.html
Based on this: http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/results.asp?IDLensType=1 there are also two older Minolta versions to consider. I have read that the Sony is merely a rebranding of the later version. Is there any kind souls that have used any of these 3 lenses. Is flaring an issue in harsh light? Blades and out of focus shapes? Any comparative user experience tests? Any photos that anyone took and posted on the web? Many thanks -- Marios |

Read the reviews on Dyxum. Also, I believe there are some on sale in the marketplace section.

) that it is different when shooting in UK, US, Aus, or Europe. The light is not the same, the sun tends to be harsher. Thus the thought of asking in the local forums.. Thanks for the reminder though.![]() -- Marios |

Well, the sun here is much harsher and the norhtern latitudes benefit from the general angle of the light too. In general though, I'd have to say those old minoltas aren't stellar in the flare control, as their focus was on warm, natural colors and bokeh.
