Sim Lim Tower Fire on 27JUN2008 2300H

Just now Sim Lim Tower was on Fire!!! Anyone who know the building well have any idea what's actually burning? It got bigger and bigger!!!

Finally it was totally put off.

BTW, all the shots were taken by Tokina AT-X 100-300mm lens on D300 at ISO HI-1. Just resized for the gallery only without any other correction or editing.

your tokina so useful, just shoot finish flyer from your house, now have fire.

Haha, it probably knew that I'm considering to sell it away. So, keep crossing my mind to use it. Frankly, I normally dun have the initiative to pull the camera out and shoot this kind of event. Nevertheless, it's had some how proven its quality and built. Although damn heavy and without VR, with recommendations from Bros here, I have finally decided to keep it forever, and dropped the thinking for the Nikon 70-300mmVR.

Those 'con' shop is lower level leh...fire is on upper level...

Hey Cheese! thanks again for sharing. looks like the tokina is fantastic in daylight, but night shots are ok ok. the daylight shots are really amazing considering it doesnt have IS/OS...

btw, I 'm interested to buy your house if u want to sell leh. Dem good location leh, can see town area, can see sim lim, can see spore flyer just outside cbd somemore...

is it in towner area?

Haha, sure! It's Rowell Court, but I guarantee u that u will not like what's happening at the Ground level.
