it has been around ten years since the last time I've used film slr... remembered it was my friends pentax "semi auto" (at least that is what we called it) slr. just a few casual snap shots on the street with my Nikon FA on Velvia 100, images scaned with canon 8800F with colour corrections and sharpening only. just to share the fun of film photography, quite alot of images came out a little out of focus, really need more practice...

Good to see that ! I used to have the FA too. I recently sold my Fm3a because of my poor eyesight cannot focus well.
Can't beat film .......... Its not about resolution and digital dynamic range isn't it. |

The colours are just amazing.
Like Grandmama said, its not about the technicalities. |

Very rich colour, something different from DSLR. Mind sharing your setting?
I'm using F3. May be can go shooting together. Cheers. |

Awesome set. I really like the colors of the Velvia. There's a preset for lightroom that converts the color(daytime) rather accurately, but the quality of a well taken film cannot be beat.
Well seen!

yeh, was quite intrigue by the colours on the actual slide developed, after scanning the vibrant colours seems to be lost a little though... the nostalgic feel of film photography is priceless... everyone should start to shoot on film again to appreciate photography...

that's what i love about film. has more depth, and the colour richness isn't something digital cameras can produce.
beautiful shots (: |

Whoa. Mind sharing the settings you used for your scans? Do you use VueScan or Scangear?
