Err, may I know what is the difference between the one Sony is selling and those other brands (eg; Hoya, BW, etc etc).
I popped by Sony Gallery this evening, saw one CPL ø55 is a whoppin' S$179. My eyes nearly ...End up, dropped by MSC, bought 2 Hoya ones. Optical quality? Coating? BRAND?! |

If you know Sony, they're into product integration so they want you to believe that you should be getting their "original" accessories, all else will not work. Go figure.

It's not worth to buy, it's most likely made by Tokina/Hoya rebranded with SONY.

I have seen the Sony 77mm MC filter before, it's definitely look better than those Hoya one. The coating is also purple colour just like Sony/CZ lens coating. Though I have to say Singapore price are way too expensive, HK pricing is much cheaper and more worth it.
