Hahaha...... the Devil claim my soul is too tinted for any use.... so refuse to buy it. Luckily my Boss still have use for a Slave Workforce.... therefore, claim my soul.... as if I have any soul left....

    Update.....

    Ok, just notice something interesting.....

My total Bill in USD is $1041.35

On channel news asia 'Finance Site' - http://www.channelnewsasia.com/finance/ - The exchange comes up to $1395.41 SGD.....

But my PayPal exchange rate charge me $1451.89 SGD on my credit card...... that is a difference of $56.48 SGD..... wow, can buy a 3rd party tripod collar for the Lens already

But not too bad..... still save around $150 SGD.

UPS saids delivery will be on the 14th (Mon)...... hopes they don't send to the wrong place.... cause I sort of give them the wrong 'Area'...... Can't make head and tails of US address....... But the Hotel name isn't wrong...... Please God don't let UPS be soooo Blur......

Works out to be about S$1.394 to the US$. Hmm, that sucks. BTW why did you go through Paypal? Adorama don't accept Singapore credit card?

US addresses doesn't get any simpler:

[Block / House number] [Street Name] [Optional unit / suite number]
[City] [State abbreviation, 2 letters] [5 digit ZIP code] [optional 4 digit ZIP extension]

Not sure if anywhere else in the world with a country this size, can you have a house address like:

    265 Winding Way
    Providence, RI 02903

(BTW that is a random fake address generated by Fake Name Generator)

PayPal got my account..... I heard some shop doesn't trust Credit Card from Asia due to high cheat rates..... since my PayPal account have been used quite a few time, I believe they would trust it more.

Problem with the address is this.....

Mr XXXX (staying at Room XXX)
    Residence Inn Marriott Sandy
    270 West 10000 South
    Sandy UT 84070 US

But when ask what is the City..... I put it down as

South Sandy....... when infact the City is just 'Sandy'

The street name is - 270 West 10000 South - Where is the " , " when you need it.....

Even thought I updated them with the new address..... they are still send it to the City of South Sandy (there is really a place called that)...... but there isn't a Marriott Hotel there...... So, hopfully, UPS would see the Name of the Building..... and comes up with the right place. If not, then a few more days of waiting till they get it right.

I'd have included the cheerleader emoticon but it's just too cutesy.

Have been following the saga and am glad that you have finally got what you ordered.

So, how much did you save compare to getting it from Singapore since you have save the international freight which can be quite substantial.

Lastly, do make sure your brother folds the original box and carry the lens separately when he comes back. Otherwise, you might still get hit with the GST...

The bill I will be getting from my Credit Card is $1451.89.... In ClubSNAP 'Market Section', most 'GreySet' are sold at around $1600. So, I save around $150. Not much..... but enough to get a 3rd party 'Tripod Collar' ($55) + Delivery ($3.20), and a 67mm UV filter..... still have some cash leftover to get a Monopod Which is why I'm willing to go throught so much trouble to settle the paperwork......

I told my Bro to keep the box.... since if I were to sell the lens later, it would be better to have the box intact. Did inform him to 'open up' the box to make it flat.... then hid it under clothing. He might have to carry the lens onboard the plane using the given lens case (which I feel safer anyway)..... Also inform him of the possible GST problem, which he said there won't be any problem..... since this isn't the 1st time he brought extra 'gift' back from overseas......

    Sorry brader...
approx how long does it take for the lens from vpost to reach your hands from day ONE you ordered? 1-2 weeks? or less?

I just got ordered mine also, just settled the shipping charges, and trying my best to be patient.
Already abused my D40 and D80 for my flickr
