The cheapo reverse k mount > 52mm adapter came yesterday, so bring the K10D out to test it with old Sigma 28mm f2.8 Mini Wide II. Since I'd haven't done floral macros in abt 1 yr, so I made this the theme for the test. Think I'm pretty rusty liao^^;

Trust me if I can do it, everyone can with some practise^^ Take more shots, post more and get more feedbacks, you'll improve faster this way.

Woah man....
Time to get myself one of these reverse adapters! Where's the best place to get one for K mount? I probably need a step up ring too.... |

what are the maths for reverse adaptors? (e.g. how do you work out magnification, working distance?) |

lol dunno. never was gd with theories. I recall it as the shorter the FL the higher the magnification. All reverse lens should give u more than 1:1 macro

Very nice macro shots longko. I see the 28mm is giving you good service.
![]() I have another copy of the same lens so I just might try it reversed as well one day. My old eyes are just as bad. Hmmm Lasik might be an option (better lens on this body is better than a better lens on a camera body) ![]()

U are lucky that Lasik is still gd for u, for me it'll still leave me with 300-400 degree. Which doesn't seems worth going for^^;

20mm abt 3.4:1 Macro 24mm abt 2.5:1 Macro 28mm abt 2.2:1 Macro 35mm abt 1.6:1 Macro 50mm abt 1.1:1 Macro but some will go up to 2:1 Macro Above just a guide and will change based on diff lens.

longko - good work. just wonder how you hold the stem of the flower So... steady? i tried with the tamron 90 which i recently bought. the results are nothing close to your master piece with the same lens. main prob seems to be the focus which i cant get it right. will practise more but just want to know if there is something else that i need to do to get the sharp focus.
like creampuff, i also got bad eyesight. issit the eyes too? |
