Default Shooting Super GT with Leica f/1.4

Last weekend I decided to shoot Super GT in Sepang with my Leica D Summilux 25mm f/1.4 lens.

Below are some sample of some of my shots taken at f/1.4

The following shots were shot at f/2 & f/2.2

Hellfire, you forgot, the F1 is Singapore will be at night. It going to be a testing ground for all those kit lenses and entry level dSLRs.

If the minimum requirement is f2.8 lenses at ISO of 1600 or more to shoot sharp and clear pictures, It will surely limit the number of dSLR and shooters.

We shall see the coming F1 in Singapore as a learning ground for us..Then we shall also know if those standard grade lenses (such as 55-200, 40-150, 70-300, 135-400) will be sufficient or a minimum may end up being the 50-200.

P.S. Forgot to add that we had the fortune to shoot from the grandstand but during F1, those tickets are above RM1k!!! Why I say this, is the 40-150 do not have enough reach and the 50-200 requires a EC14 from the cheaper Hillside (C1~C3) area.

Will it? That's why I say, the S'pore will be that testing ground for it.

Oh yes, I don't see any headlights on them F1 cars. What if one of them spotlights decide to blow during a race? Race in the darkness?

exactly, F1 cars doesn't have headlights. so the lighting for the race will have to be so bright to illuminate the track as if it was a day race for safety. and the rigging is quite complex from what i know. it should be bright enough for the 70-300 for track pictures.

If the luminance is going to be bright enough, next question is, will Sepang be able to match S'pore??
