    Yes it does actually. As these teles are most often used by sports photographers who're usually under the sun for prolonged periods of time, the heat can get pretty intense.

    So now you know, if you have a 70-200 f/2.8 (IS or otherwise), you can gaffer it black. Won't be affected by heat, cos it doesn't have any fluorite elements.

    I disagree with you. White color tends to reflect light and may cause flare effect.
