Default Underwater Casing. Where to buy??

Hi all,

I have a Canon Powershot A710IS that I want to use when I go Tioman next week. I'm thinking whether I should get a hard casing like the Canon WP-DC6 or a 'ziplock bag' type case.

Where can I get a 'ziplock bag' type casing? I've been calling around but places like Cathay don't have for compact cameras.

Thanks!

Hi Seeto!

i just bought an underwater soft-casing on behalf of my friend..she's in redang now.. bought for myself last year too for my Redang trip and used it for my Canon Powershot A85, and i was very happy to use it...no leaks!!
got it from Ebay at $50 including postage fees... just search for Dicapac and look for the model number that fits your camera... GOOD LUCK!

be careful how deep you wanna use it. Snorkeling, go for the digipac. Diving, get the depth rated cases from canon.

Yup..... viix is correct. Diving and Snorkeling is 2 difference things. When you are deeper than 5 metres..... the air inside the digipac will further 'compress' the bag, till you could hardly press any buttom on your camera. Much like frozen food in supermarket which has been vaccum sealed.

If U/W casing is what you want..... can go to most Camera Shop like MS or CP..... don't pay anything more than $300...... most time MS will sell canon casing for $285 , not the retail price of $369.

Yup..... Seeto is correct. This 2 shop will sell the casing at below retail price. If you were to go to dive shop of shops that sells U/W casing, most time..... they will sell at only retail price.
