Lens hood + flash?

If i leave the lenshood on lens and use external flash (not built in flash)will my pics turn out with some flash blockage? Haf not tried it b4 leh.. Any experienced photographers can comment on tis?

It happens for me when i use wide angles (28mm) with the in camera pop ups... Does not happen with external flash.
