Please share your samples with this lens...

I just received a brand new... The lens is beautiful indeed! I tried on the 20D and WOW

The Bokeh and sharpness is outstanding compared to Nikon 1.4 version

I will upload some later on... meanwhile please share your samples and experiences with this lens

Oh by the way, I paid $310 including shipment from Canada

You can try Orient Photo at SLS or Cathey Photo at Peninsula Plaza

I tried for some time then ordered from eBay Was afraid of the "WHAT IF" but every thing turned out great and the lens is super sharp with no problems at all

IIRC $310 was the local price for this lens^^; Think I got mine from JB for S$297 then with international warranty.

Good price faisalee, though I think it isn't that much of a savings compared to local prices.
I actually bought this lens 3 times! I have found very small sample variations the last time I bought 2 of the lenses when I tested all 6 pieces in the shop. All in all a good all round lens.

I think the FA50s performs just like DA*, I mean, the feeling is very close.

While the limiteds are different style. Just my opinion.

OP is about $350, used to be $320...they oni got 1, so very hard to bargain...cos its either u take it or others will...anyway i have resisted getting 1...got a manual 1 which so far been quite fun...good enough for me not to get the CZ...or the vt58...

Saw 1 in Marina branch recently (1 wk ago). So not sure if it's still there. That's how I know its price. Check with them for those who wants it.
