Where can I find the shutter count?

Hi,
I am a A350 user and was trying to find the shutter counts in the camera.
Just wonder is it true that Sony A350 don't have this indication.
Can other A350 users confirm this ???

yes I think you're right, but not many other cams have this feature too.. for those, they either bring it back to their Service Centres or use the software provided to find out the shutter count..

for me, I NEVER reset my file naming sequence.. that way, the filenames will tell me my shutter count!

There is not shutter count for my Alpha 100, not sure dfore A350 though. I got my shutter count by bring it to Sony service center.

erhhh, can U elaborate on the 2 pts U mentioned...
1. S/ware provided....where?where?
2. Never reset file name sequence....???

The service centre can check the shutter count for you... I believe that is a way to check on the camera but it's just not in the manual... the old film 7 had a counter in the battery compartment...

1. Some cameras actually write the shutter count into the image's EXIF. You can use Opanda software to see this figure. Also, I heard that some manufacturers do supply software to check shutter count.

2. I let my file name's number sequence run throughout. i.e. DSC00001, DSC00002, ... This way, the latest photo always tells me my shutter count. I also no need to worry about my old photos being overwritten by new ones of the same filename.
