Default Sanyo VPC-HD1010

Hi,

I'm interested in getting the Sanyo VPC-HD1010 Video Camera. Any idea when it would be arriving in Singapore?

Cheers
Jason

Hi Jason, have you bought this camcorder already? I am interested as well. Let me know where you got it if you do.

Thanks.

I haven't been looking for 2 weeks but I found no local shop is carry this camcorder.

I think I can order it online, find a online store which will ship to Singapore.

Here's a local review of this camcorder. Doesn't look so good.

the good, the bad and the ugly might depend on the user. I read other reviews and I found some users are very happy with the camera. For the price, i guess I'll still give it a try.

I was interested in this cam for the high frame rate recording, for slo-mo work. But when I found out that it only works in lo-res I gave up on it.

Anyway, it's up to you, it's your money.

Yup, I'll be buying this cam this week....cheapest so far is warehouse123 and will most likely buy from them....anyone had any experience with warehouse123 e.g. are they reliable and trustworthy?

Thanks

HI,

did not own this model but one before this. If you are doing close range shots with adequate lights. No problems. At that price you have no complains at all. The only thing I hate about camcorders is the joystick controls like back in the olden days where we uses the joystick, the sensitivity tends to go off after a year or two of usage.

Apart from online shops. I last saw it in Sim Lim. 1st level corner shop near the entrances and another on the 2nd level think next to the Sony or Song brother's shop. Their price so far as I know is the cheapest.

im not too sure about that but it seems the shops that you described are sls "sharks"....my advise is to stay away from sls 1st & 2nd level shops unless you've done your research.

Hi,

If you know the price you will know how to deal with those "sharks". HD1010 probably costs slightly less than 1K. 3 months ago when I enquired with them, HD1000 then was quoted without the memory card at round 800 at level 2 and 950 at level 1.

Added on now the prices of Electronics should have fallen though USD has gained. Well, no harm checking them out still. So long as you do your homework, I do not see any reason they will con you.

I ordered from here. They are selling the tele and wide converter as well. Tried the wide converter and it is working well with my HD1010.

Does it perform well in low light, like Sony's night shot? How is the picture quality? Does the price include shipping?

HD1010 allows you to shoot at big aperture. Low light perform is good and i think it is a lot better its little brother HD800. All in all, i'm very happy with the low light quality. Price is now going down and you can try to check on a better deal. Got the Sanyo VCP-L07W Wide Converter and it suited the HD1010 IS just fine. Good for family shots indoors, or even outside landscape scenes! This sanyo lens is worth the extra money.
