Hermes129 Night HDR imagery

Hi all,

I like to create a thread to post my HDR attempts for your critique and constructive comments, but find it better to use one thread instead of creating new ones for every other shoot so as to reduce bandwidth and make it easier for ppl to follow, hence the title of the thread.

Below are some images in my second attempt at night HDR. The images are processed to give a surreal feel instead of natural look.

1. Marina Bay from Esplanade. Pls pardon the roof to the right as a crane has blocked the view from the left side.

2. Marina Bay some time later.

3. Boat Quay panoramic HDR. On hindsight, I should have use portrait shooting instead of landscape, as the buildings are chopped off.

4. CBD with Merlion at foreground HDR. I have attempted again another try at this HDR from the previous attempt weeks ago. HDR formed with two HDR images.

Hi hohoho32, thanks for your comments. May I ask what is 'borat'? Apologies, I never watched that movie, so I am not sure u are referring to the movie or to some style...

Hi all,

I went to the Southern Ridges for my night shoot. Any comments and critique are welcomed.

I have a question though. I noticed that processing night HDR using photomatix gives a high level of digital noise in the background. Not sure if any members here able to give some tips on the processing or the handling of the settings on the camera.
