Hi fellow Csers,
I would like to buy a Domke bag but not too sure which model to get that can house my gears. Therefore I need advice or help from users of Domke bags. My current equipment are as follow : Basically 1 camera body, 4 lens and 1 flashlight Canon 30D Canon 70-200L F4 non-IS Canon 17-40L F4 Tamron 90mm F2.8 Macro Canon 50mm F1.8 Canon 550EX Will the F-3X be sufficient or need the F2? Thanks in advance ![]()

Does your 30D have a battery grip?
My F-3X fits my 1DII with 24-70 on it. That goes in downwards. Normally in the bag, there's a 35/2 and 50/1.8 stacked in one compartment, the other compartment houses the 580EX. I also pack an extra 1D battery, memory card wallet, lens pen, and a surefire 6P. One of the side pockets has my iPod and earphones, the other holds my collapsible water bottle. i'm a current user of F-3x, what you have is possible to fit inside that bag.. F2 is huge, with the ability to hold lots more equipment..
![]() i refer you to my previous post, on the heaviest possible setup i can squeeze inside the bag.. (pictures included) http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showp...&postcount=104 |

Using F-4AF and F-6, confirm that both can fit all your gears at one go.

Yeap, at Camper's Corner, Capitol building. It's the side facing the SMRT building. It's a godsend for photographers, because it fits into the tightest of spaces in your camera bag, and you don't have to fill it full all the time.
To TS, The 70-200 f/4 will fit into one of the two lens compartments in the bag easily, because it is slimmer and shorter than the f/2.8 variant. Adding the TC should be no problem. Between the F-3X and F-4AF, the F-3X's interior design allows more to be fit in creatively, where the F-4AF has a more rigid interior design (two sets of inserts - one boxy big one and another two-lens insert). BTW, I got mine from coolsigg on B&S. It was alot cheaper than what Cathay quoted me, and new ![]() |

You shld be able to fit everything into a F3X. If you want something slightly bigger than a F3X get a J3 with the ballistic material, it's slightly bigger than the canvas versions.

honestly, i think the F2 is a better fit. the F3 might fit everything, but when its on your shoulder, the shape of the bag changes, and it may be tough getting to your lenses that are all bunched up against each other. i personally don't want to be fumbling and struggling when i have expensive glass in my hands for a lens change!
i have a F2, and everything just slides in and out with no fuss. i can even fit an extra book and PSP for the long bus and train rides. plus there will come a time when you get more lenses...so better to planfor the future! haha P.S. I have about 90+ of those platypus bottles without the logo (ordered from campers corner for some corporate event which fell through). Please PM me if you're interested! |

I am actually letting go of mine with the shoulder padding. PM me if you are interested. I'll be happy to even let you try the bag to see if everything fits (without any obligations) if you can drop by Tampines.
