couple of things i want to mention about this (and I will be candid about it) since i was in attendence today:
    1. for those who thought that the monetary cost of this workshop was too high, my reply to you is this: It was worth every penny and probably alot more. Considering the fact that you get to learn from someone who's recongized internationally for his work; who was completely open and candid with any and all questions fielded as well as completely unselfish, willing to share his tips with his fellow man Raymund Isaac has proven himself as not just a class act, but as someone who truly loves his craft and is completely competent in his work. You get to learn from someone who's been in the fashion advertising industry for a quarter of a century; an industry that is notriously known to be diffcult to be different and still make a buck, where photographers are literally a dime a dozen thanks to the proliferation of DSLRS. Raymund stands heads and shoulders amongst some of the best in the business and completely opposite to those who guard their secrets jealously, he isn't some fluke who doesn't know what he's doing and got lucky once, fearing for being exposed to be the sham that a fluke really is. Raymund is the real deal (sounds cliche i know but that's my thoughts).
    2. The entire workshop from the get go was shown to be extremely well organized and well planned. Everything flowed without any interruptions or distractions. the way the instruction was set up was conducted in such a way that even a beginer could listen, pick up and apply all the lessons being taught today but it also added something new to the intermediate and advanced photographers in attendence... I would like to extend my kudoes and a big thumbs up to not only Raymund and the people who organized this but to the others who contributed as well, the models, muas and the people who set up the equpiment. It was a pleasure meeting and working with you all today. I also extend my sentiments to all attendees present at the workshop as well. I am sure that you all came away from this alittle wiser and richer for your trouble of waking up early this saturday morning.
    3. The meals that came inclusive of the workshop price were not your average cheap fare and literally were a gastronomical treat. The lunch alone i would dare say is worth the price of admission but that would be selling this workshop short because we were there to learn more about our craft and not to eat. But it sure as hell didn't hurt that we had such good food provided to fuel our minds in our learning endeavors.
All and all I highly recommend any future workshops organized by this organizer and highly encourage my fellow csers to attend. You will come away from the experience more enlightened and much richer for your troubles. Money can always be earned back but how often would you get the opportunity to learn about your craft from someone such as Raymund Isaac or Dominique James from last year? If your answer is not very often, then you should, nay, must sign up for the next time. You won't regret it. I know i didn't and I can't speak for the others who were there today but from what i saw from all the smiles, i can safely hazard the guess that they were of like minds with me. Thank you once again to Raymund and all involved for all the work you put into this. It is greatly appreciated and the love for your craft is definitely felt and reciprocated.

A note to all my fellow attendees; do send me a pm because i'm quite sure that i didn't manage to get all your email contacts and i would like to stay in touch with you all if you are for it as well.

TheQuestion, thanks for the positive feedback. We're very happy that everyone had a great time learning and applying the techniques as opposed to a simple shooting session. Good to hear you enjoyed the buffet as well.

We were debating to move our call time to around 9:00 AM but we just had a lot of things to cover for the day. Don't worry about the directory. I'll send out the details to all participants within the week.

The workshop is just like dining in the best restaurants - the meal will always be remembered long after the cost is forgotten.

    Cheers,

    Justin

do note also that you shouldn't be judging the quality of the lesson by shots that the students involved shoot. x of people are going to have varying degree of expert level and perspective. So you are definitely going to see different quality output from different individuals. Keep in mind people that this is a learning workshop and yes you do shoot for some hands on learning the emphasis isn't on getting as many shots as possible like you would with the mass orgy shoots u see here.
