i cant believe it.how can a mouse be better compared to a 'pen' in photoshop applications?

the selections, the masking, the touchups....it's soooooooooooooo useful.

i cant do without my wacom tablet.in fact, for my 3 desktops at home (1 pc and 2 macs), all have a wacom to it.it's indispensible.

i have to agree though, for gaming, i think a mouse is still better.

    After Wacom:

How can I not love Wacom?
    It's always wacom.
    12 hours a day.
    7 days a week.

    Wacom, Wacom and Wacom.
    It's Wacom for me.
    I deserve Wacom.
    Wacom deserves me.

How do you get used to using a pen? I know its about practice... but I just can't seem to get my motor skills around it ...

I'm thinking of selling it since I still prefer my mouse...
I think you need a Cintiq. That's why..

it's largely a personal thing. it's like driving a car or motorcycle to get to the same destination. as long as you get there, do the thing you're most comfortable with.

i heard of a retoucher who prefers the mousepad. that one is winnar.

IMO, a drawing tablet offers better control and resolution in softwares such as Photoshop in comparison to the mouse (maybe my mouse is a lousy one). It is easier to achieve precise editing with a stylus as we are accustomed to using a pen or pencil since young.

Try drawing an apple with stylus and than draw a similar one with a mouse you will see the vast difference (does not apply to highly trained mouse user )

    Just a reminder,
Actually very few people will start using a wacom and go 'WOW!!why hasnt I used this earlier'!!
For a while, the hand will feel like the feet, and u swear all those using wacom must be bullshitting.

But give it some time, keep going at it, and you'll never turn back..promise.

The few people could be very discipline or actually throw away the mouse.
For the rest, the mouse just within reach within seconds.., so they'll go back to the mouse instead

Remind me something like learning how to ride bicycle starting from 2 wheels instead of 4

How long did you (or other tablet users) take to get to the point of preferring it over the mouse? TIA.

i don't think a wacom is that expensive actually... considerin that the bamboo is only selling for like $150... im using a grahire and im quite pleased with the results that turnout.... my entire portfolio of digi paintings have been done with a graphire

I believe you actually feel better in control than the first day using it.
Your feeling of hand like feet is because you go back to use the mouse right ? If you don't use the mouse, you'll not have that feel.
