my 50 cent bounce card, use it since i got my dslr, cos i refuse to pay ridiculous money on some plastics which seems to work quite well when my 50 cent bounce card works just as well if not better...

![]() If you all wanna DIY, making a DIY lightscoop will be worth the trouble. I use it on the in-build flash when I use the Pentax P-TTL wireless. ![]() ![]() The plan; http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w.../reflector.jpg It also works well as a bounce flash. You can bounce a 10-12 feet ceiling at ISO200 f2.8-f4.5 1/125s. With ISO400 you can go up to f8 1/125s. Edit: IMHO, the whaletail is ok, but not as gd as the lightsphere.

This one I do use for some outings or studio shots. The concept comes from lightscoop. It bounced the light from the inbuild flash to the ceiling. If you use P-TTL wireless with inbuild, you may notice the extra harsh front light, this will help a lot.
![]() If u want to spend extras, you can buy a lightscoop; http://lightscoop.com/store/home.php But it doesn't do vertical shots like this DIY.

For external flash can try this: http://www.abetterbouncecard.com/. Simple to DIY, and good enough for events too (how bad can just a big white card look?). |

LongKo Design is interesting ...abetterboundcard, website provides very good hindsight and practicality on bound flash..
G.F. whaletail...I am still wondering what is the logic that behind this design for practical used.. When I enquire OP abt the WT.. the guy asked if what I was asking for Toliet Sit in chinese "Horse container" lookalike type .. I said yes it is 70 buck ...but they don't have the studio version. Is WT really that good ??? I have not been able to find substantial supporting practical usage of it..I wish those who own it can explain to me or compare to abetterboundcard. and whish is better. |

Hi Longko,
You own the WT? reporter or Studio version, Ori or third party? The L-Sphere is good I have it, but cannot use in places where there are glass panel, heavy refection. |

OEM WT Reporter. LS if u wanna reduce the reflection remove the cap. I only use the cap when there's no ceiling to bounce. The reflection will be similar for WT, except it's thinner but longer.
