canon or epson

Hi guys, I was just contemplating on a reasonable scanner... that can scan both pictures and film... so I was contemplating between the epson 2400 and canoscan 5000F.

Any comments from you guys? Which do you think is better and I probably will be scanning in negatives and slides as well so quality for that should not be that bad...
