Was quite intrigued by the Leica legacy recently and was browsing on the internet when I came across this. Thought I might share it. Do you agree with the article? From a photographer's point of view, not a hard-core Leica fantatic pov...

Can always wait to see if the rumours of a nikon RF are true...
![]() Put a D3 sensor into an RF body... slurp!! "Rumour from a well-connected source is that Nikon will be introducing the dream camera for photojournalists shortly…..perhaps it will be a rangefinder that everyone seems to want, including me, of course." - Taken from http://www.nikonwatch.com |

Thanks for the good link. Michael Kamber does have some valid points. But obviously some of the casual users will not face the problems that he did. Still I would agree that the M8 can be improved upon. Let's see what's coming out this year!!!

That FX sensor in a rangefinder makes my mouth water....
![]() However, I've heard reports that the digital sensors can't take retrofocal lenses too well, something to do with the light entering at an angle rather then straight on or something. One more reason to use film... ![]() Samuel

"The first day I shot with an M8, I noticed that in two consecutive frames of the same scene, one frame would be slightly blue, the next slightly yellow. I assumed I was doing something wrong. I spent hours fiddling with the color correction to no avail. The problem was not me. On the M8, when the color balance is set to auto, the color balance swings widely across the spectrum, even on consecutive frames where the camera has not been moved."
wah. even for casual shooters this one jialat man
